Funny Sawyer

So I just thought I would list a few things that Sawyer does that makes me laugh and smile. My friend said I really should blog about them, so thanks for the advice!

A few days ago Sawyer came out the front door to see what was going on when he saw one of the neighbor girls ( the red head twin who is only 1 month older than him) She said" Sawyer" and he said "Maddie" (which is her older sister that Sydnee plays with) they both ran to each other and met in the middle of the lawn gave each other a big hug and than ran back to where they were. Sawyer turns to me and said "her loves me". So dang cute!!!

The next day we went to our ward camp-out and the twins were there. Sawyer ran up to the other one (blonde one) and gave her a huge hug. Only this twin didn't want anything to do with him, he looked puzzled and just stood there for a minute. He looked around and went and found the other one who was so happy to see him.

Sawyer was playing with his match box cars one day with Tom when he held up a blue SUV and said Felecya's car. So funny that he even knows what they drive.

Just yesterday I was cleaning up the garage and asked for Sawyer's help with the shoes, he started to gather them in his small arms when he looked around and spotted his trusty dump truck. He than put all the shoes in his truck and pushed it in to the appropriate rooms to dump off the shoes. Later he helped by putting all the trash in it and then in to the trash can. Totally love the dump truck!

On Wednesday Aunt Sam came over and we all ran an errand. On our way home we stoped at Sonic and got slush's, (happy hour) Sawyer got an orange one. (orange his his favorite color)
Now everyday after we drop Sydnee off at school or go anywhere in the car he yells orange drink, orange drink! at least he settled for an orange Gatorade at home!

Lately when ever you tell Sawyer to stop doing something or do something NOW he yells back in a deep voice KAY! It makes me laugh every time.

By the way we also need a fridge lock. Sawyer loves to pour his self a drink, he just doesn't know when to stop, resulting in a huge puddle on the kitchen floor. What a mess maker!

He is such a funny boy! I know there is lots more, I just can't think now. I can't help but smile when he does funny things like when he is in trouble and you tell him to look at your eyes he opens his mouth too. This little guy leaves such a lasting impression on most people he runs into. Some good some bad! Can't help but love this little guy!

Barker Reunion

Can you believe it we all fit in this picture.?
My family

The hammock again, I tell you the BEST $2.00 ever spent.
I was just a little worried when the kids would put two or three kids in and then swing it completely around in a full circle! They had a blast though!
Poker Run!
This is my Great Uncle Charles and his wife Rita.
My cousin's husband, Brandon and their two kids Lexi and
Hayden riding to the next poker stop.
Sawyer and his "bike" can't leave home with out it.
He would get a little mad when the other kids would take his bike and run off with it.
I tell you this is the side of the family he gets his "tease" attitude" from.
Just chillin.
All the yummy food we ate on Friday. My cousin Kris and her husband who were in charge of this whole thing made yummy pork ribs and a berry cobbler that was to die for.
Tom and my other cousin Terry and his wife KyLene made potatoes. My other cousin Bobby made a peach cobbler way good too.
Hanging out.
We camped from Thursday until Sunday.
Saturday was when most the people came up and we had
hamburger and hot dogs for lunch and then played games and just visited.
Fishing game for the kids.
My cousin Kris and I made a little carnival for the kids. They went to many different game stations and played and collected prizes. There was dart balloons and hole in one and many other games.

3rd place Poker Run winner, KyLene who tied with Tom but Tom had a higher card.
She won a $10.00 gift card to Wendy's.
Tom and I went on a Poker Run the beginning of the year and had so much fun that when I was helping my cousin Kris plan the reunion I mentioned we should do it and everyone was on board!
2nd place winner Tom, with a $20.00 gift card to Bajio!

1st place winner was my cousin Tiffany's daughter Lexi, she won have the pot, $65.00 cash!
Everyone bought a $5.00 card and half the pot was for the winner and the other half was for the reunion next year!
We had a lot of fun and really got to know some family members who we only see once a year! My cousin Kris and her hubby Clay did a great job and I can't wait to have another one.
Thanks everyone for such a fun weekend. A big thanks to my hubby too he helped out so much too.

1st grade!

Today was Sydnee's first day of 1st grade. Sawyer was up at 4:00 and Sydnee was up at 7:00. It made for a long morning. I told Sydnee I would walk her to school but she wanted to drive. I walked down and picked her up from school that after noon and she told me all about school and how fun it was. She loved lunch and all the breaks they get. Time is flying by! Hopefully we can slow down a little this winter.

12 years!

Prom 1997
July 2009
Wow, today is our 12 year anniversary. I can't believe it has been 12 years. It has gone by fast. I am so grateful to spend my life with my best friend. I love his smile and his persistent. He is a wonderful husband a great Dad. We were so young when we got married NO one thought we would last but here we are. I don't think I really thought much past a few months when we decided to get married, I know we didn't have great jobs or good cars. We didn't really have a lot to go on. I only knew I wanted to be with this man. I really didn't have a check list of what we had to do, or should do with our time or how we were going to get there. I was in dream land married to my best friend. I have more than I ever dreamed or wished for now though. I have my best friend, by my side, two wonderful kids, a home, working cars, the opportunity be an at home Mom, and family close by. I sometimes look back at how we got here and I know I owe it all to Tom. He is strong and is really good at making the hard choices that have to be made. I love what a good team we make. I have completely enjoyed these past 12 years, so here is to the next 12 and so on. I think when you truly love someone you team up to make your dreams come true or a least as close to them as you can get, make a life you are proud of and your love grows stronger and deeper. Thank you honey for 12 wonderful years, your the best, I love you!

New baby....

We have made a decision, a Can-Am!
This thing is so cool. When you turn it on " hi Dawnyeil West "scrolls across the screen.
I really love the looks of this machine.
The ride is pretty good too.
I don't think it is as soft of a ride as the Polaris, thus making Tom sad.
I will have to try it out on some real trails though. Tom has been working hard at trying to see what machine would be good for us and stepped out of his comfort zone and bought a Can-Am. We think it will be great to have two different machine's to ride. We both wanted the Can-Am at first and then we wanted the Polaris and then here we are again. It is really hard to make a choice because you really don't know for sure what one will work best for you or you family until you get it home or on a trail and ride it. I am totally excited to have an automatic, soft new wheeler to ride. I am so spoiled! Thanks honey! I really appreciate all you do for me and our family, for the hard work and extra work you do so our family can have extras like this.
