24th Fun

LOOK CLOSE!
That is Sydnee riding that sheep in the SF rodeo!
She ended up being 1st to ride and did awesome!
Felecya rode too and did great too.
Sydnee was really worried about her cousin Felecya
who got a little hurt after riding a sheep.
Our little "cowgirl"
We had to talk her into the green shirt.
Sawyer our little "cowboy"
Yes, he needs a bigger hat!
Our family
Jen and Jimmy's family
The group of us
Santaquin's Children's Rodeo
Sawyer is checking out his Grandpa West's cow boy hat!
Felecya and Sydnee
Too cute cow girls!
When we got to this rodeo Sydnee was up to be first to ride a sheep again!
She rode a sheep last year at SF's rodeo and again this year but, when she was up to ride at Santaquin's she didn't want to ride. She said she was scared and that the sheep were to big. We were bummed! She cried cause she didn't get a little award, but it was a great time to teach her that she didn't earn it so she doesn't get one. Even the toughies get scared sometimes I guess!
Zack and Sawyer being little boys!
Santaquin Rodeo's candy race.
Get ready set GO!
Sawyer and Sydnee and my Dad at the car show.
The kids loved seeing all the cool cars. I am so proud of my Dad
for all the hard work and time he has put into restoring their car.
It looks great!
My parents car got best in it's class!
The kids in front of Mom and Dad's "hot rod"
Fire works!
Jimmy, Jen, Camie and Richard and their families came over on Saturday to watch fireworks and have ice cream with us. It was lots of fun.
Felecya, Sydnee, Zack, Sawyer and Jaxon watch fire works.
The three boys were so excited to play with Sawyer's cars!
They each picked their favorites and went to play.
On Sunday we went to my Grandpa's house to visit with everyone and have dinner, it was nice to visit and see everyone.
It was a fun week-end even know Tom had to work. It went by fast and now it is time to start getting ready for school to start!

West family camp-out

Here is some pictures from our annual West family camping trip to Mayfield.
Here is the whole family that went. Jayne, Tom's Mom came for one day and night, it was great to have her there.
Tom and Sawyer by the camp fire
Grandma sent so many fun crafts for the kids to make.
You can see how hard and how much they all loved the crafts.
Sydnee with the practical joke teeth
One night the kids had hair salon and because there wasn't too many of us with long hair, Uncle Jimmy had to get his hair done. He made me laugh when he said "Here is Uncle on one side and Aunt on the other."
Sorry, but this the only way to get a picture of me. You know to document I was really there.
Uncle Jim and Uncle Jimmy braved the cold lake for the kids sake. The kids look forward to this the whole trip. Even know it was so hot up there I was NOT about to go in that freezing water. The kids loved swimming in Emerald Lake.
Still doing crafts.
A quick pic of the kids at night with their glow-sticks.
Okay, these two were so crazy. Tom and Jim had an air soft gun fight. I got hit with one and it hurt and bruised. It was so funny to watch their moves.
One would get hit and the other would laugh and then they would get hit.
Here we are as a family getting ready to leave.
The four days went by to fast as always. It was hot, lots of people and dusty.
They had a "trek" going on up there and the kids got to see them. My family didn't catch much fish, but we rode a lot of trails. We didn't get up to the "arch" this year, I think we were all exhausted from the heat. Thanks to everyone for such a fun camping trip. We rested around camp and hiked alot. Thanks to Grandpa and Uncle Jim we did get to eat fish dinner and it was great! Can't wait until next year!

My day again...

Well 1st of my day started out with a wake up call from my Mom at 7:01 am (the time I was born at) it was then that I noticed Tom was still home. He said get up and get dressed we are going golfing! I was not really thrilled, but time with my husband, top notch!
This is me of course, golfing for the first time ever! I am NOT good at it at all. It is really hard too. I learned that you use muscles that you didn't know you had and that practice will make you better. Maybe not good but a little better. We played the back nine after we were done on the driving range. We had a blast and are going again for sure!
Tom and I driving the golf cart. This I was good at! I really wouldn't have wanted to walk this course it was long!
Thank you Mom for watching our kids!
After lunch we hiked to the Grotto, a waterfall. I have been wanting to do this for a really long time. It was really neat! Sydnee loved it too, she is like a fish in the water. Sawyer thought it was cool, but loud!
Any one want to go again with me?
Then he took me to a movie! HELLO- like my favorite thing to do!
This was a great movie!
Thank you Jayne for watching our kids!
And to finish the day, Tom surprised me with my family at a restaurant.
After dinner we went home for cold stone ice cream cake! Yum!
It was a really fun day. I even forgot about being 30 for awhile.
Thank you Tom for a great day and for all the hard work you put in to making my day special!

I'm the big 3-0!

Okay, so I am now 30. I really can't believe it! I have a friend who told me that a least I am just entering my thirties, next year I'll be in my thirties. I really don't feel grown-up enough to be 30. I thought I would know more of where I am going and exactly how to do it. Right now in my life I just take it day to day. Sometimes one minute to another. I am grateful for the life I have and for the family and friends I have by my side to enjoy it. I know how lucky I am to be able to stay home with my kids, how fortunate I am to have a home and a well working car to drive. I am blessed with love and compassion, that sometimes gets me in trouble.. I am honored to have a wonderful man as my husband and the father of our children. I truly do know these things and appreciate all the love and acceptance I have around me. All the wonderful examples and strong people that help me through my journey.
So here's to the next year, hopeful I will be wiser and more organized.
I have great pic of my fabulous day, owed all to my hubby. I will post them later!

4th of July fun!

Our camp at Thousand Lakes.
We went on a hike up to see the "fort"
Richard and Camie in front of the fort
(Jaxon was to "busy" to stop and get his picture taken)
My Mom and Dad on the hike
My family and Kylie
(Lyle and Lynda's granddaughter) in front of the fort
My Dad and Richard at camp
Me. Camie and our Mom by the camp fire
The kids in the dirt
They pretty much played in the dirt all weekend!
Kylie and Sydnee in their cut Indian hats
that Kylie's Grandma Lynda helped them make
Kylie and Sydnee were "best friends" from the moment they met
NOT one fight! YEA!
These two on the other hand, wouldn't leave one another alone.
My little Sawyer, is such a tease, he would stand by Jax just to make him mad.
Sawyer was such a little stinker all weekend, he wouldn't leave Jaxon alone.
This is one of the "good" moments!
The kids were a complete dirt ball from head to toe, so we threw them in the tub!
This is a picture I snapped on one of our rides!
From the front to end-
Lyle and Taylor , then McKenzie, then Lynda, then Jason and Kylie, then Poodle, Dad and Mom and last Richard, Jaxon and Camie. Tom and I were already ahead of the pack.
Taking a break
On the way back to camp it started to rain and hail!
NOT just a little, it fell in buckets!
Tom and I stopped and waited it out little under umbrella, Lyle and Lynda went a little further until they found big tree's and Mom, Dad, Camie and Richard high tailed it back to camp, wet from head to toe and everywhere in between.
It wouldn't be thousand Lakes if we didn't get a little rain!
I love this picture of Jaxon, up at "Neffs"
Our family up at "Neffs"
Missing is my sister Sam!
This was a really fun trip. I was glad that my sister Camie and her family could come. We had such a blast and made lots of memories too.
