Tending

I watched my sister's little boy on Wednesday and we had so much fun.
I was glad that it was nice weather, the boys just loved to swing! Sydnee just loved having Jax over, she would just follow him around and cater to his every need. Sawyer and Jax played really well together too. No fights! Yea!
Sydnee ZooLou!
Sawyer-man.
Jax-n-ator!

Oh, yes, I almost forgot to give thanks to my sweet hubby for all his hard work painting our home. So, Thank you so much!
He painted the ceiling and all the walls. It took three days and he did a great job! You really can't tell by the pictures but it is a warm yellow. It is called Pineapple Fizz in one brand and I can't remember the name Sherwin Williams calls it. We are happy with the the end result all but, we bought satin finish and it is more like egg-shell or flat. I guess we remember SW brand you need to take the next step up for sheen's. I can't believe how much work it was taking everything down and off the walls, taping and putting plastic over everything. Not to mention the ladder we used it was huge. I can't even tell you how much DUST was on top of my plant shelf's and cupboards, you would have thought I never dust them or something. (I have never had a home that gets so dusty, I dust every day! Tom thinks it is cause it is so windy up her.)I am glad we painted the trim and doors earlier. Now that we are getting everything back together it looks great! Specially now that it has been a week and a half it seems to grow on you, I told Tom most people wont even be able to tell we painted. Now we just have our bed room and bath left oh, yea the pantry and closet too. Is it ever going to end?

Sydnee...

I have been practicing soccer. I am on the "Pixies" and can't wait until game day!
Just try and get your ball by me! I love this game!

All dressed in green for St. Patties Day! I am wearing green pants that I just had to have! I had parent teacher conference this month too. I am doing GREAT! I made a goal to keep practicing on counting to 100! I can totally do it to! I have been completely enjoy playing with Barbies and have had the whole basement as my "Barbie house" for weeks now! My Mom made me clean it up though and now I have moved on to Polly Pocket they are easier to clean up! I have had an "attitude" towards my Aunt Sam lately. Mom thinks it cause I miss her and want her attention! I don't want to go to bed at night and I really don't want to be woken up in the morning. I am fine if I wake myself. I keep counting down the days until my birthday and can't decide what kind-of party I want to have. I am looking forward to our Disney vacation, my Kindy 500 car and Easter. I also went to the dentist and had a small cavity fixed, it was not fun at all until they gave me two tokens and then I though it wasn't to bad!

Sawyer's been up to...

I have been playing outside on warm days and even remember to wear my hat.
I think the sun is "hot!"
I love to say cheeeese for pictures and asked Dad to take this one.
I completly love "lightening" as in Cars the Disney movie. Do you love my attire? Cars pj shirt, sock and undies. I got a really sore bum and said it "hurt." ( why he is wearing undies)
Got my hair cut at the salon.
I even cringe just like my Dad does when he gets his hair cut too!
I have been watching the movie Curious George latley and still love Dora movies too. I love to play with my cars but have found a big boat that has been my favorite. I haven't been eating very well unless you count juice and treats (cheetos) as good food. I like to play with Barbies and Polly pockets, but only to drive them around in their cars and to bug my sister. I don't want to get out of my pj's in the morning at all for any thing! I am still really great at making messes just ask my Mom! I am also looking forward to flying in an airplane and seeing Mickey!

Last Snowman?

So here is a picture of Sydnee's snowman that was taken a couple of weeks ago! She had been asking her Dad to help her make one but all the snow had melted away! But before we could say spring it had snowed again! It was a team effort and took us all, Sydnee friends, Sawyer, I and especially her Dad!

Go Jazz, Go!

Tom and I.
We sat behind the basket so they gave us "Bam, Bams"
to use when the other team shot free throws.

My cousin Kris and I.
Kris' husband Clay.

So I was looking forward to Friday night as on the account that we were going out! Yea! I thought dinner and a movie, you all know how much I love popcorn. But plans were changed, Tom called and let me know he got four tickets to the Jazz game! I was surprised! He wanted to take the kids and I said sure if you only want to watch the first 45 minutes. We both agreed we would have much more fun with-out the kids and my parents were so great to watch the kids even over night. We took my cousin and her husband. It was lots of fun. We ate at Texas Roadhouse (Steak house in Sandy) and then we went up to the game. We parked in the substation parking lot and only had to walk across the street. The game was great! We won! Gotta love the game! The flyer says "any seat here is better than your sofa."

Yes, it's over!

Yes, it's over! Pack Night that is. I volunteered to help with Pack night for the month of March while the "regulars" were out having a baby. At first I was only going to just be helping with the activity, then it was the whole thing and then it was to include an Arrow of light ceremony. Well of course I had my other Webelos leader, Sallie helping, but I just felt like I couldn't be prepared enough! Sallie had the great idea of rotations and then every other idea just fell in to place. We got two men to talk about their jobs ( the theme was "When I grow up" ) and Sallie and I did a game. We prepared a little "skit" for the the boy who was getting his Arrow and I even had drum music to go with it. We set up early and everything seemed to be in the right place. Seemed is what I said, the mic worked before everyone got there and then it didn't, plus I totally forgot to tell the parents to have their kids sit with them instead of sitting on the front row, thus adding to the noise and no mic problem.

I skipped through the skit, witch worked out great cause the skit group didn't have one anyways! We didn't set up enough chairs, but that seemed to work it's self out. Sallie did a great job acting out our "skit" and Erica was great at being the "Filmer"f or it too! I am so grateful for everyone's help and support! I am glad his Arrow of Light went pretty well because I only had four days to prepare for it, buy the rabbit fur and an arrow.( It was quite a task too, I called like every archery place in our county.) Our game was on a learn as we go basis, so the first group got a little "cheated" but the next two groups went well. The whole pack night was over before I even knew it! We did it! It was all done and over before 8:00. That means less than 1 hour! yea! I was sad that no one could hear very well and that I didn't get to hear the great men that spoke but all in all it's done!

So, I came home and got ready for bed and went to lay down and my head was going 90. I just couldn't go to sleep! I just kept replaying the night over and over again, like I could change it ?! Somehow I fell asleep and now here I am blogging about it like it is the "biggest" thing I have ever done. I know this isn't true, but I think it is the first thing in awhile that I have put so much thought and time in to lately. Sad I know. All I have to say is I am glad I don't have that calling. I am going on my 5th year in scouts and still love it. It has been challenging, (I didn't grow up with brother's) rewarding and quite an honor to have a hand in "molding" young men into leaders of tomorrow.
Sorry to just ramble on but now I feel much better!
