Been awhile....

Sawyer all taped up!
Sydnee and her cute smile!
This is Sawyer's way of "helping" tape. He just kept asking for "stickers" while I was taping.
We have been painting our trim and doors so we can paint the ceiling and then the walls! It's so much work! Just in the laundry room area we painted three regular doors and then the bi-folds!
This may not look like much to you but to me it is AWESOME. This is hours and hours of hard work and one very dedicated husband who did ALL the work, who fished a line down the wall into the ceiling and then out to the storage room to get us cable in our kitchen. I don't know why we didn't think to do it when the basement was unfinished?! Anyways it is here and now we need to get a TV. Thanks so much to my sweet hubby for his hard work and determination!
I am so lucky!
Sorry this is upside down but what a stinking cutie!
It is so hard to get Sawyer in the tub and even harder to get him out!!
Texas road house. Sydnee loved that she could just put the shells of the nuts on the floor.
We took Sydnee out for a "Mom and Dad" date last weekend. We took her to the RV and trailer show. She loves to look through all the trailers. She pretty much loved every one of them. My parents went too and some of theirs and our good friends. We all meet at the steak house afterward for dinner. It was fun and Sydnee is already planning on just the three of us going out again real soon. Thanks to my sister Sam who watch my poor sick little boy!
Sawyer said one night "Dad, Dad, look, look." this is what he wanted to show him.
He put his sucker in between his toes! Silly little guy!
Sydnee's wacky day at school. Her shirt is on backward ans she
has a glove in her hair. She wore two different shoes and leggings and
socks with one inside out.

New additions!

The kids soooo excited to be at the pet store alone
but, even more happy to be getting a fish or two.
Our two fish at home in their tank.
Sydnee's is white and Sawyer's is blue.
The end result! They now have separate living quarters for now.

So we finally "caved" and got a "pet!" Well we got two actually. We are now owners of two female Beta fish. The pet store lady said we could get two females and they would do great in our small tank and really good together. WRONG! The next day, they started to fight and then we noticed the white fish would eat all the food before the blue one could. I called the store and another lady said "No, you should never have two Betas together even if they are female." So what do we do now, I thought? We put the "bully" Sydnee's fish in a vase for now and then Sawyer's finally got to eat. But they can't stay like that forever. I knew you were not supposed to have two male Beta's and that's why asked the lady at the store why we couldn't just get a goldfish? She said they are "dirty" fish?! So here we are with two fish in two different homes. The kids were totally happy and proud to own fish for about three-to four days, or when ever someone new comes over. Other than that the fish are just a "decoration" to our home.

We also watched Jen and Jimmy's kids so they could go out too.
They always watch ours and I was so glad we could at least watch their kids once.

Sydnee and Jaxon.
My sister came over on Sunday so we could exchange Valentines.
Sawyer and Dayzee the dog.
He just loves to be licked by her.
All three watching the dog.
I had a great Valentines and I think my family did too. Tom always says it is a "woman's holiday" this taking the pressure off of me to get him anything. He on the other hand sent me flowers and they are so great because they have opened up so big! The flowers I usually get never seem to open up, these have! I have really enjoyed them. Sydnee said "Dad, why don't you ever send me flowers?" I told her when she get older her husband will. Tom also gave me an adapter for my car so I can play my i-pod. Yeah! We took the kids to lunch and rented some movie for later that night. The kids didn't get much but, it's just a day to let them know we love them and care about them. They didn't know any different anyways! Sydnee had a blast when her cousins came over. It was quite a party. We ate Chinese and popcorn and played and watched movies it was one great day!

Sydnee's Valentine Party

Eating her Valentine Treat. Like the headbands?
Passing out Valentines.

The night before Sydnee's class party I got a call that two of the four room Mom's cancelled. Her teacher said she already had the treat but needed more help. Silly me volunteered to help with the craft. I had scouts and round table that night to deal with as well. I ended up with a headband that had cute little antennas glued on them. My sweet friend Carmen came over in the mist of my panic and decided she could help, she cut out like 5,000 hearts of all shapes for me and delivered them back to me! What a sweet heart and huge help! the party went well but kind-of crazy. It was hard to make them all finish in 15 minutes. The kids got really creative when it came to decorating their headbands! Sydnee had fun and when she got home she looked through all her Valentines and was so excited.

Dads and doughnuts!

Sydnee and her Dad attended their first "Dads and Doughnuts" day on Wednesday! We didn't tell her about it just in case Tom was not able to make it home in time. (he had the call truck) When tom made it home and we told her where she got to go, she was so excited. She just kept asking why do we go? I told her it's just for fun and so you can spend a little time with your Dad. She was kind of confused! She had no idea why you would have to have a special night to spend time with your Dad. She said "so we read a book together and then have doughnuts and THATS it? YES! Well they went and had a fun time. Tom and her walked around the halls and saw her class room and their pictures on the walls. I told him to take the camera but he forgot so I go this picture as they walked in the door. Thanks Tom, for taking her for always being such a great Dad!

Sydnee's Book Share

Cookie Monster and the Cookie tree
Book share

This is Sydnee at school. She decided to share the book Cookie Monster and the cookie tree. She thinks the book is so funny. She loves the end when the witch says' I should have grown radishes, instead of a cookie tree" Sydnee did a great job and I am so proud of her. She wore a witch hat and passed out cookies to her class mates. Not very many kids love the spot light! I know I did not! She gets up there in front of her class like she owns the place, I hope it never fades! this is just the end of the book but you can tell she did very well retelling the book in her own words!

my little Sawyer-man

Right now Sawyer is completely in love with Dora, trains, cars and Strawberry shortcake. All though he has always had a thing for Strawberry, I think he likes red-heads. He wants to watch one movie after another. Sometimes before one movie is over he wants another one, and then back again! He carries his trains and cars around everywhere. He makes us laugh all the time and boy oh boy his smile sure is cute. He loves to stand in the pantry and try to decide what he wants to eat, it takes him like an hour. He is stubborn and strong willed. He doesn't forget and always reminds you he wants a book read to him at bedtime. This little guy is such fun! He can make a mess in 1 second and then while your cleaning that one up he has three more made. He loves his sister and will do anything her or her friends want him to do. I guess to a point! (He gets sick of them after a while) He is our little Sawyer-man! We love him, messes and all!

My movie Pal!

I have been wanting to spend a little one on one time with Sydnee and we got our chance on Saturday. Tom was great to watch Sawyer while Sydnee and I went to the movies. She picked the movie and we went. I had a great time with Sydnee. She is a happy, sweet and funny girl. Sometimes I forget that she is still "little" she is always such a wonderful big sis and a great daughter. The days really do fly by and I can't believe how big she is but how small she still is. I hope we can continue to have these little outings so we can have the chance to talk and just hang out together. The movie on the other hand wasn't that great, but I really didn't think it was going to be. I guess it has a good moral; be happy with your life. The grass may seem greener on the other side but looks are deceiving!

The Circus

Family pic.
This is the third year we have gone to the Jordan valley Circus. I went the 1st year and Tom the 2nd and both of us the 3rd. It comes to UVU and is not to bad priced if you clip a coupon, it a great deal. This year Jen, Jimmy, Felecya, Zack, Alexis, Garett, Sydnee, Tom, Sawyer and I are who attended. We saw: Lions, tigers, acrobats, motorcycles jugglers, poodles, who could ride a scooter and form a tango line. We also saw, bears, elephants and a magician. It was lots of fun and the kids had a blast!

Tooth Fairy

Okay I am just a little behind on posting but didn't want to leave out Sydnee's first tooth and the tooth fairy visit. I finally pulled her tooth out on Saturday right before our West family party. She was so surprised and didn't quite believe that it was really her tooth in my hand, until she put her tongue where it had been, She said "that didn't even hurt." Just the night before we bought this cute little "tooth fairy pillow" to put her tooth in. Saturday night the fairy came and left Sydnee four dollars cash and four quarters. She was so excited! We made sure she knew that the tooth fairy leaves everyone different amounts of money or prizes and always more on the first tooth. She was fine with that and couldn't wait to tell everyone the tooth fairy had came!
