Sydnee's Thanksgiving Feast

Kabobs
Cheese, pickle, pinnapple, olive
Tha happy helpers

I was so happy to be able to go and help Sydnee's class with their Thanksgiving Feast on Tuesday. I am so grateful to her teacher's and all the time they put in for fun activities like this one. The kids were split into groups and each group was in charge of making an item for the feast. There was turkey sandwiches, pudding, veggies with cheese on them, kabobs and cups with M&M's and dinner mints. They all sat down at their tables with their placemats and ate their feast. They all looked like they had a lot of fun.

bLAcK FrIdAY

Well I guess it is that time of year again isn't it?! I haven't went shopping on the day after Thanksgiving the last two years. (I was pregnant and then I was too lazy) the first time I went was with my mother-in law and it was quite a rush. Although I got great deals, every year there after has not had many "great" deals for me at least. I have gotten to where I like to have my shopping DONE before Thanksgiving all except a few last minute items.
This year I am not sure I want to go or not, I haven't caught any rumor of a total "awesome" deal! I love the rush and the whole "crazy" idea of getting up sooo early and standing out in the cold to hold your spot in line (meanwhile making rude faces to anyone who try's to sneak up in line or rush the doors) then fighting your way through the door only to rush to find the item your looking for (usually in a whole different part of the store than it should be) just to stand in line for EVER and than make your plan for the next store and do it all over again. I guess I am not very convincing am I? No really it is kind-of fun in it's own way! Well I guess I'll have to check my ads and than decide if there is anything worth giving up my precious sleep for.
Any rumors of good deals let me know!

Quick pics

Picture A

Picture B

So my sweet sister took these quick pictures of us today and only a few turned out and even then I am not sure about them. It is really hard to get the kids to look in the same direction and smile at the same time. Sawyer was pointing to all the trucks and cows that passed us and would never look at the camera.
Anyways, you vote which family pic do you like most?
A or B?
Oh ya, how do you like my new hair cut?

Looking alot like Christmas

Last Monday we went over to Grandma and Grandpas house to visit.
Grandpa was putting up the Christmas lights.. Sawyer and Sydnee were so excited to see them and the decorations. Sydnee and Grandma got out the craft box so they could make pine cone turkeys. Sydnee was very resourceful she went in the yard to find different items for her turkey.
The kids had a fun time with their Grandparents.
They are getting pretty excited for Christmas though.

Show and teach

Sydnee teaching her class.

She even got to wear the microphone.

This is the inside of the card she made for all her
classmates.

This is the front of the card.

This is Sydnee teaching her class how to make a turkey-hand-print card. She is always making cards around the house so what better thing to teach, then what she does often. She did great and she looked like she had a lot of fun too.

Tired little boy!!

We have taken Sawyer's naps away because he wasn't wanting to go to bed until11:00 at night and we just couldn't take it any more.So this is the result of four days with no naps. If you listen carefully (over Sydnee's incredibly loud chewing) you can hear him answer Tom "no" he doesn't want to go to bed to sleep. You can also hear him say "yea" he wants to sleep right there.

How silly!

Finally I gave in

So I finally let Sawyer ride the horse at Kmart. Look how much he loved it. I guess I should have let him ride sooner.

Look what I did, Mom!

Sawyer and his picture he made.
Love the visor?
Sydnee and her picture.

Sam and the kids.
The kids did great today at church. Sawyer didn't want to let me go but once he did and I was able to sneek off he did awesome!
He has great nursery leaders who really care.

Anyone for some Chocolate?

This is my sister's idea of dessert. We thought this was so funny! She doesn't only have brownies but chocolate candy bars as well! And No she is not going to share. If I was her size I wouldn't worry about how much either!!

Cars, cars and more cars!

This is Sawyer's favorite past time. He loves to play with his cars. He likes to line them up either end to end or side by side. I think this is so cute! I love that he is into something that he enjoys so much and that is not hard to find. Sydnee is a great big sister too. She will take him in his room and play with him. Tom took these pictures and said I needed to post them. I love how he has caught the "blog bug" too.

Visiter's from a far!

Todd and Lori came down and stayed the night and visited us! It was nice to see them again. They brang fun gifts for the kids, which the kids really loved! We ate dinner and played some games. The next day we went to lunch. It was a great visit!

The first snow

Sydnee was so excited when she woke up to snow. She wanted to play in it that minute. I stalled her and when she got home from school she and her friend went out and braved the cold. Sydnee made this snowman. The two of them made a smaller one in the back yard too. After they were completely frozen they came in for some hot chocolate. The funny thing is the night before it snowed we went to the store and bought a new snow shovel.

Pumpkin-a-lope

This is Tom's Dad. He always leaves a lasting impression! He is always doing things that make you laugh or make you say EWW! He is such a sweet guy and will do anything for you or his grandchildren. This time he made little pumpkins with faces for all the grand kids and then he put deer antlers on one of them! I just had to take a picture because it made me laugh so hard!

Girls at PLaY

On our way to Wendover!
Jennifer, Jessica, me and Jayne.
We took this pic a couple of times but someone was always
half way cut out.
Yea we are there!

We had a great time playing and we all enjoyed the yummy food!
We took this trip because we all started to get vacation fever.
Last year at this time we were in Vegas!
It was so nice of our hubby's to watch the kids while we all had a refreshing girls night out!
A big thanks to Jayne for dinner, the room and gas to get out there.
You always spoil us to much!
Thanks!

On the way home it rained so hard and you could barley see anything.
when I got home and unpacked I looked outside and saw how beautiful the mountains looked I just had to capture it!

Trick-or-Treat

Pheasant Hunt

So, November 1st started out the Pheasant hunt! I think all the men on Tom's side of the family start preparing for this hunt months in advance. They keep there eyes open for any pheasants running through the fields and keep a tally of who has cut their corn and who might. They also see what fields are posted and as for this year the new time they can start. Tom's sisters birthday is November 2nd and they always say they want pheasant dinner for their birthday, this making the men really have to step up to the plate and bring "dinner home"! This year they all knew the hunt was not going to be that great! (they didn't see very many pheasants around) Tom, his cousin, his cousins friends, Tom's Dad and brother headed out this year and by the end of opening day they had one and one raccoon. (the raccoon was a plus since they eat the chicken's and all the corn and veggies) They usually have 10-15 people down there to hunt with. I guess they knew it might not be the best year to hunt pheasant. I think the hunt runs for two weeks so maybe better luck next time they go out!
