Snow, lights, cookies and gifts!

Family Night

Sawyer didn't want to gewt his hands dirty.

Yum!

Yea the donut store!

Future bakers!

Happy girl!

So after we saw Santa and visited RC Willey again we went to the donut store. The kids thought it was so cool! They loved to see the donut's cook and then get frosted. They loved eating them too. It was a nice calm night where we seemed to get in a lot of stuff.

So Sydnee was way excited to see Santa and tell him her wish list. Her list consisted of: Polly pocket swim-pool, Mrs Goodbe house and art stuff so she can be an artist. (I owe this to Julie who spoke at their school and told them they could be an artist if they wanted to when they grow-up) Sawyer on the other hand was excited to see the train and view Santa from a distance but no-way wanted to sit on his lap. He only whispered that he wanted a train for Christmas. It took me a little longer this year to get them to Santa but at least we got there. Right?

Quest for our tree

Sawyer just couldn't help but play with the train.

Sydnee so proud of her pick and decorations!

Ta Da!

At the tree lot!
Sawyer fell asleep.

On the way to the tree lot, he looks so excited!

Okay so it wasn't much of a quest, to drive around to a Christmas tree lot of our choice and then pick our favorite tree out and bring it home, but it was fun any ways! Sydnee was so excited to decorate the tree all by her self and of course Sawyer was excited about the train. In fact he had to sleep with the train that night. The kids love the family "mickey" tree and all the Mickey things we have to go with it. I love that they are not breakable!

All A'board the Polar Express

Movie and Santa

A couple Saturdays ago Jen called and let us know that there was a free Christmas movie going on and then later Santa would be there too. We were pretty excited to go and join them. We had the choice of Elf or Polar Express. I was secretly hoping for elf. (I had been listening to PE all week long in the car) The kids picked PE and we all enjoyed their selection. (even Sawyer sat really well through the whole thing.) I mean, if you give me or my kids some popcorn we could pretty much watch paint dry! LOL
After the movie we took these great pics of the kids by the movie signs. I had lots of great pictures but I couldn't post all of them.
We then ventured outside to find "Santa". The kids found a huge Dog. Sawyer didn't mind the attention from the dog but, when Santa came he wanted nothing to do with him. Oh, well Felecya, Zack and Sydnee quite liked there quick visit they had with the big guy! The kids had frozen yogurt and then we said our goodbyes. Thanks Jen, for keeping us in the loop!! It was lots of fun!

Tending

Last Friday I got the chance to watch my cute little nephew Jaxon. He loves his Mom and was a little sad at first but calmed down fairly quickly. Camie went to sub at Sydnee's school for a half day.
Look how happy all the kids are in this pic. They didn't want to get down from Sydnee's bed! Every time I asked them they would slide to the back wall so that I couldn't get them!
Funny Kids! I also want to thank Camie for letting us have Jaxon is was so much fun and the kids got along great!!!

Posting the Angel

Sydnee loves putting the angel on the top of our tree. Next year she may have trouble though. (Sawyer looks like he really wants to try. ) This is our upstairs tree and it is kind-of a "no touch" tree, but we get a real one for down stairs and the kids get to completely decorate it. It is done in Mickey Mouse and I'll have to show you pictures when we get it done.
The kids each have their own tree in their rooms and love the lights at night when they are supposed to be a sleep. We let them pick out a new set of ornaments each year to add to their trees. It's kind-of a fun tradition. This year Sawyer picked "monster trucks" and Sydnee picked the Old "Rudolph and friends" from the movie.
The kids are getting so excited for Christmas and I am too!

Chocolate Face!

Sawyer loves his Dad for many reasons, one being that he doesn't really care how messy he gets. This is one of those times where Daddy gave him some chocolate pudding and whip cream! Do you think he liked it?

I guess he does have a bib on and sitting at the table! I guess there was nothing to worry about!

Last Saturday we took the kids to see the lights at Temple square. We rode the Trax train up and walked around the grounds. It was so great to see the light again. I don't think I have been up there for at least six years or so. The kids loved the "train" ride and they were completely mesmerized by the lights. To answer your question, YES there was soo many people there! The Jazz game was going on and of course it was the Saturday after they were turned on. We had some yummy hot chocolate and rode the "train" back to our car and the kids were a sleep in no time. It was great to go as a family and enjoy the warm spirit that just flows through the Temple grounds!

?What am I to do?

Okay, I have no idea how to add any thing to the bottom of my slide shows! I wanted to say how much fun the LIGHT PARADE was and how much we enjoyed the company. (Tom's parents, his sister and her family and then we also saw his Aunt and Uncle there too) We had hot chocolate and enjoyed the show in the not "to cold" of weather.
On my other slide show I wanted to thank everyone who helped with the Thanksgiving dinner, it was yummy! I sure had a great time seeing everyone and I missed those that I did not see.

I also wanted to say sorry about the all the slide shows but there was just too many pictures I wanted to include!

Any help with the slide show thing let me know! Every time I edit and add my words, and then post it my slide show disappears!?

Sydnee's Thanksgiving Feast

Kabobs
Cheese, pickle, pinnapple, olive
Tha happy helpers

I was so happy to be able to go and help Sydnee's class with their Thanksgiving Feast on Tuesday. I am so grateful to her teacher's and all the time they put in for fun activities like this one. The kids were split into groups and each group was in charge of making an item for the feast. There was turkey sandwiches, pudding, veggies with cheese on them, kabobs and cups with M&M's and dinner mints. They all sat down at their tables with their placemats and ate their feast. They all looked like they had a lot of fun.

bLAcK FrIdAY

Well I guess it is that time of year again isn't it?! I haven't went shopping on the day after Thanksgiving the last two years. (I was pregnant and then I was too lazy) the first time I went was with my mother-in law and it was quite a rush. Although I got great deals, every year there after has not had many "great" deals for me at least. I have gotten to where I like to have my shopping DONE before Thanksgiving all except a few last minute items.
This year I am not sure I want to go or not, I haven't caught any rumor of a total "awesome" deal! I love the rush and the whole "crazy" idea of getting up sooo early and standing out in the cold to hold your spot in line (meanwhile making rude faces to anyone who try's to sneak up in line or rush the doors) then fighting your way through the door only to rush to find the item your looking for (usually in a whole different part of the store than it should be) just to stand in line for EVER and than make your plan for the next store and do it all over again. I guess I am not very convincing am I? No really it is kind-of fun in it's own way! Well I guess I'll have to check my ads and than decide if there is anything worth giving up my precious sleep for.
Any rumors of good deals let me know!

Quick pics

Picture A

Picture B

So my sweet sister took these quick pictures of us today and only a few turned out and even then I am not sure about them. It is really hard to get the kids to look in the same direction and smile at the same time. Sawyer was pointing to all the trucks and cows that passed us and would never look at the camera.
Anyways, you vote which family pic do you like most?
A or B?
Oh ya, how do you like my new hair cut?

Looking alot like Christmas

Last Monday we went over to Grandma and Grandpas house to visit.
Grandpa was putting up the Christmas lights.. Sawyer and Sydnee were so excited to see them and the decorations. Sydnee and Grandma got out the craft box so they could make pine cone turkeys. Sydnee was very resourceful she went in the yard to find different items for her turkey.
The kids had a fun time with their Grandparents.
They are getting pretty excited for Christmas though.
