Build a Bear

The kids got Build a Bear gift cards for Christmas from their Grandma and Grandpa West! Zack, Felecya, Sawyer and Sydnee were so excited to build a bear of their very own. Sawyer and Zack picked a light up frosty the snowman. Felecya got a Hello kitty and Sydnee picked a cute girl moose. It was fun but very busy there. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

I think this is Sawyer's favorite toy ever!
Christmas was so fun! I love watching the kids faces on Christmas day! They were so surprised and so excited! We had great plans for Christmas eve and I was so excited but I got the stomach flu and was down for the day and night! I was so upset! The kids spent the night at my Mom's the night before Christmas eve and had so much fun. I was thankful that they were there when I got the flu. Christmas day was so nice, we just stayed in our pjs until the afternoon and then went over to Tom's Mom's for dinner. My family came by to see what the kids got, that morning. The kids got to play with their toys the whole day! We enjoyed our traditional sticky buns and quiche. We got the Wii as a family and we were all so excited to try it out!

Sydnee's school party!

Sydnee and Hailey exchanging their Christmas gifts! Hailey gave Sydnee a cute shirt and leggings and she has the same so they can wear "best friend" clothes and match! So cute!
Sydnee and Hailey and little Sawyer man.

This year I was in charge of a game for Sydnee's class. I wrapped a box and then on and on so everyone would have a turn to unwrap a layer. Inside was treats and then I let them pick a prize out of a basket. We played Christmas music and when the music stoped who ever had the gift got to unwrap a layer. I had to make four boxes because there was four groups. It was fun and all the kids seemed to have fun!

We had so much fun on the Polar Express this year! Every year the kids look forward to going. They watch the movie as many times as they can and really get geared up to go. This year my Aunt Sherri went with us and the kids just loved her being there. She even bought them a little train and some mints that you can easily find in Sawyers hand .

Family Pics

As you can see it took us two times to get a Christmas card picture this year! The ones by the lake were our 1st ones but as you can see we were all freezing. The other turned out much better.

Christmas Fun

This is this years Ginger bread house.
Sydnee, Sawyer and Hailey really enjoyed putting all the candy on this little house. (And I will tell you so easy and fun when you don't have bake the house and then hope it won't break)

A very enjoyable family night.

Camie, Jaxon, Sawyer and I went to the mall to do a little more Christmas shopping, Poor Camie she was so tired , not to long until I get a new nephew! The boys had so much fun together and it was fun to get out of the house. thanks for going with me, Camie.

Every year we have been putting a real tree down stairs and that is where we celebrate Christmas. I love the smell and the kids love to decorate it. We all love to go and pick out the tree at the tree lot. Maybe someday we will venture to the mountains and pick one from the wild.

The kids have loved this tradition.

We have been doing big things each week for family night, and now Sydnee looks forward to Mondays. She always says "it's Monday, family night what are we doing?" Good thing she is just as happy with a game night as she is building a ginger bread house or sledding.

What's Sydnee been up to...

Christmas choir concert.
She did so great! I am so proud of the hard work she has been doing and getting up early and going to school early to practice is no easy feat for a six year old.
Grandma West, Grandma Harman, Aunt Sam, Aunt Camie, Uncle Richard and Jaxon came to her concert to support her. thank you all I know it means so much to Sydnee to have her family there.
Sydnee's cheer team!
Go Sydnee go!

Traditions!
Sydnee's teacher asked each student to prepare a ten minute talk or presentation on their families traditions. Sydnee choose to talk about how every year Sawyer and her pick out new ornaments for their little trees, that they have in their rooms. She always talked about hot coco and the Polar Express. She gave everyone hot coco and an bell ornament.

She did great at speaking. The class seemed to really enjoy her gift too.

The Chop

Ta Da!
Waiting and keeping himself occupied!
Sawyer waiting and waiting.
Sydnee has really been considering getting her cut for months now. She finally said "I want to get it cut today." So we went down to the Salon as a family and watched her locks fall to the floor together. I was a little scared, I mean it took forever for her hair to grow and now she wanted to cut it off. So needless to say it was hardest on me! Tom and I love how it turned out and most of all she does too.

Seeing Santa

We really have been GOOD this year!
Sydnee's school had a Santa's Seceret shop one night for the kids to be able to shop for their family member and Santa was there. Sawyer didn't want anything to do with him. We had already saw him at the craft fair so I knew what to expect.
