New additions!

The kids soooo excited to be at the pet store alone
but, even more happy to be getting a fish or two.
Our two fish at home in their tank.
Sydnee's is white and Sawyer's is blue.
The end result! They now have separate living quarters for now.

So we finally "caved" and got a "pet!" Well we got two actually. We are now owners of two female Beta fish. The pet store lady said we could get two females and they would do great in our small tank and really good together. WRONG! The next day, they started to fight and then we noticed the white fish would eat all the food before the blue one could. I called the store and another lady said "No, you should never have two Betas together even if they are female." So what do we do now, I thought? We put the "bully" Sydnee's fish in a vase for now and then Sawyer's finally got to eat. But they can't stay like that forever. I knew you were not supposed to have two male Beta's and that's why asked the lady at the store why we couldn't just get a goldfish? She said they are "dirty" fish?! So here we are with two fish in two different homes. The kids were totally happy and proud to own fish for about three-to four days, or when ever someone new comes over. Other than that the fish are just a "decoration" to our home.

That is too bad that they need to be seperated! They look so fun though!

We have the same fish tank as you do, and because the kid's fish died they got new fish which are goldfish. Goldfish are dirty fish, you have to clean the tank every 3 or 4 days.
